Prof. Chris Gordon, proudly displays his award

Professor Chris Gordon, Director of the Institute of Environmental and Sanitation Studies, University of Ghana, last Saturday, 29th October 2016, received one of the highest Orders of the land: Member of the Order of the Volta (Civil Division).

The award was bestowed on Prof. Gordon by the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, during the National Honours and Awards Day held at the Accra International Conference Centre, on Saturday, 29th October 2016.  Prof. Gordon was honoured in recognition of his contribution towards national development through mentorship, education, research and policy preparation over the past 30 years as well as his roles in the international environment and climate arenas. He received a citation and a medal.
