The Regional Institute for Population Studies was fully represented at the just ended 8th African Population Conference which took place in Entebbe, Uganda for the period of 18th to 22nd November 2019.

Present at this year’s conference were some members of faculty, staff and students of the Institute. They made oral and poster presentations which addressed varied issues in the areas of population, migration, health, reproduction, climate change and marriage

The opening ceremony, UAPS General Assembly Meeting and the session on Population Dynamics, Environmental Change and Food Security” were chaired by Prof. Samuel Nii Adjei Codjoe. Prof. Joseph Awetori Yaro, Director of the Institute also chaired a session on Side Meeting: Networking and Collaboration among Population Studies Institutes/Departments in Africa for Enhancing Capacities in the Continent.

Other members of the Institute were discussants on selected panels.
